This is a new series of furnishing we have embarked on and we are excited to bring this beautiful chair to you.  We have added some design features lately to truly make this a unique rocker that we are proud to bring to you.

We are very proud of our new line of rockers sure to fit any body style and any taste. You have an almost unlimited choice of hardwood species to choose from since we have access to virtually any type of hardwood you can think of.  Please see our Hard Wood Samples.

Once you sit in our rocker, you will wonder how we built it so it feels like a warm blanket wrapped around your entire body. There is nothing like sitting in a custom made rocker with it's strategically placed lumbar support, concave arm rests and a seat that feels just right.

Warm up to a fire, with a book and a glass of wine in one of our rockers. Each rocker is signed and dated by the builder with a build number. Be one of the first to own our rockers, this will be an investment as our rockers make their way around the United States, and become collectible.

Pine Colonial Chest

Our same beautiful Connecticut Blanket Chest as pictured above except in pine.

Pine when used correctly has a very beautiful warm honey glow to it. We finish to compliment this species instead of staining to cover up this American wood, we like to celebrate this good old standby for American furnishings by bringing out its natural beauty.

Pine, the wood that won the hearts of Americans since we landed on Plymouth Rock almost 400 years ago. Used by settlers to buttress their forts, heat many a cabin during the long winters, and used to build furnishings that have adorned American homes since our nations founding.

Pine Kitchen

Made for a custom southwest adobe style home. Pine veneered plywood cases with solid Pine faces, drawers and doors. The doors were outfitted with walnut accent Aztec gusset corners. This was a concept brought to us by the customer. We love unique ideas and designs, our customers are our best designers.

In the doors of the pine buffet below right and throughout the kitchen we used a style called book matching. If you look at the doors in the buffet, you will notice that each set of doors mirror each other, notice the knots in the doors. There are the same amount of knots on each side of each door. We use a pine slab to fabricate these doors, we used slab because we needed room to slice the wood, and lay it out like two pages in a book thus giving us the mirrored image you see with the knots and grain in each door panel.

We make cabinets and case work to order. Please allow additional lead time for completion of a room sized project such as a kitchen.

Curly Maple Wall Display Cabinet

1850.00

Our client came to us with a vision, an image, and a desire to have his collection of Antique Pewter molds displayed in one place in his home.

He found a wonderful display that was available in England, but it was not cost effective to have it shipped all the way here to America. So he came to us with a photo of the same display, and we took it from there. While we payed respect to the original concept of the display shelf, we made some alterations to fit his collection of pewter molds.

Our version is made from Curly Maple, and outfitted with in-house hand made built up crown molding to top it off.

We stained it classic Early American with our custom mixed dye's. Then to bring out another dimension of richness we layered the shelf with a coat of Boiled Linseed Oil, then a nice coat of amber shellac mixed at a 2lb cut to give it even more depth. All of this is topped off with classic oil based varnish. After weeks of curing, we finally rubbed out the entire piece with Liberon's Bison Paste Wax to give it an even more deeper rich warm glow.

The cabinet is 42" tall and 48" wide and 6" deep.

All wood joinery, dovetails secure the main case at all four corners, while sliding dovetails secure the shelving to the main case and the vertical divides. The crown molding is built up from individual layers of solid curly maple.  As you can see our customer provided us with a photo of a dish and plate display shelf, our mission was to pay close homage to this wonderful piece of furniture history, and I believe we accomplished this.
